Inspired by a poetic installation by Suppose Design Office in Japan—where hundreds of suspended cardboard pipes transformed an urban space into an imagined forest—the Wanderlust Side Table evokes that same tension between natural and constructed form.

A sculptural cluster of polished brass and walnut root cylinders, each handcrafted element of this piece brings texture and rhythm into the room. The tabletop, finished in high-gloss walnut root veneer, captures organic warmth, while the reflective brass base offers a luxurious counterbalance. No two are alike—each Wanderlust table is a unique expression of craftsmanship and curated design.

Malabar
Portugal | Design Atelier

Rooted in the cultural richness of Portuguese heritage, Malabar is a design atelier that brings bold artistry and local craftsmanship into contemporary form. Each creation is a fusion of sculptural imagination and traditional know-how—handcrafted by skilled artisans who honor time-tested woodworking, joinery, and marquetry techniques.

Malabar’s pieces are layered with narrative and intent, often drawing inspiration from modernist masters, architectural icons, and poetic abstraction. With a distinctive design language that merges surreal form and refined finish, Malabar invites collectors and designers to experience furniture as functional art.

The result: pieces that are expressive yet enduring, unexpected yet harmonious—made not just to fill a space, but to transform it.
