Located in New York, USA, Lincoln Square is famous for the performing arts that take place in a group of eclectic buildings that seem to create a dialogue with the centerpiece of this square, the Revson Fountain, where people gather before attending cultural events.
"I remember spending the late afternoon at Lincoln Square just admiring people and the rich artistic environment, when one element stood out. A group of arches in the main facade of the front building sets up the monumental scale of the entire square."- Joana Santos Barbosa
Designed by the American Architect Wallace K. Harrison in the 60s, the Metropolitan Opera House is clad in white travertine with full-height structural arches that shape glazed recessed planes on the facade. At night, the light coming from inside the building illuminates the entire square. This symbiosis between the structural grandeur and the intense interior light was the great source of inspiration for the design of the Metropolitan table lamp.
The METROPOLITAN table lamp features a sophisticated combination of a lampshade in InsiderLand Satin Ref. Pearl with Gold and a base constructed from Translucent Dark Brown Oak in high gloss varnish with polished brass detailing. This timeless piece captures the essence of contemporary design while exuding a touch of luxury, making it an ideal addition to any elegant interior setting.
