Discover the craftsmanship
Kim Ahonoukoun
Florida, New York & London | Artist
Born in 1985, Kim is an emerging voice in Contemporary-impressionism. Based in Weston, FL, New York City, and London, UK, she brings a global vision to her work, with the freshness of an emerging artist whose dreams unfold before her.
Kim’s journey as an artist began in 2020, inspired by her lifelong admiration for well known masters, Claude Monet and Vincent van Gogh. Their genius and intuitive use of color, light, and dynamic brushstrokes compelled her to pick up a paintbrush and explore her own creative potential and as she says, honor their legacy.
Kim’s work is characterized by a deep spiritual connection to her influences, particularly Monet, whose paintings evoke in her a profound emotional response. She describes a nearly mystical experience when she paints, feeling as though she channels the impressionist’s essence, a belief that guides her practice and fuels her aesthetic.
In just a short span, Kim has made significant strides in the art world. Her residency at Beyond Monet in Miami allowed her to immerse herself in the very world that first inspired her, while her exhibitions in prestigious venues across New York City, London, and Madrid and now at OMSA Gallery have solidified her growing reputation. Most notably, her participation in the FOCUS ART FAIR at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris stands as a testament to her rising prominence.
Kim attributes her success not only to her artistic talent but also to her ability to connect with people, whether in person or through social media. She believes in the power of meaningful conversations about life, art, and empowerment.
As a highly spiritual and resilient individual, Kim is committed to continuous growth, embracing challenges with determination. Her art is more than a visual experience; it is a reflection of her inner world, shaped by meditation, learning, and a relentless pursuit of excellence
